Connectivity solutions that can be deployed in minutes
– a growing demand in today’s fast-paced world
When a disaster strikes, whether small or large, one of the rst issues to address is reestablishing
communicaions – and time is always a critical factor. The real challenge
of a systematic recovery plan is access to infrastructure components. There are no
guarantees that vendors of these critical components will have sucient stock to support
the recovery eorts of every operator and agency.
When Hurricane Katrina struck, RADWIN supplied its radios to the local telephone
company to help rebuild the communications network. They were able to utilize the OFDM
technology to establish connections in non-line-of-sight situations and get vital communications
back on line. As a result of this experience, RADWIN learned how critically essential it was to have
everything necessary to install the link right there, ready to deploy!
RADWIN decided to create the Link-In-Case for all types of
disasters. Everything necessary – 2 radios with integrated
antennas, 2 indoor units with T1 connections plus Ethernet and 2
CAT5 cables with the correct terminations to connect the radios
with the indoor units. All of these components are housed in a
rugged, water-proof, light-weight case on wheels. The radios
are precongured for installation and can be aligned in a matter
of minutes, utilizing RADWIN’s unique audio alignment system
– the radios “tell” you when they are aligned. Therefore, it really
is fast and easy to install.
Where can the Link-In-Case be utilized? Anywhere there is a need for communications -whether
it’s ensuring public safety and saving lives after a storm, or putting in a temporary T1 to a cell
tower to start revenues owing, or getting service to the new school for the well-being of the
children, while the cable job is being worked.
This is a solution that you will never regret having on hand – in case you need a Link. |
